Airsoft guns have taken the place of paintball guns for scrimmage and war games. Paintball can be extremely messy. Many people really want to simulate war play as accurately as possible. Paint can stain or ruin uniforms. Airsoft guns will eject plastic projectiles that are sized from 6 to 8mm. From a safe distance, these projectiles are harmless.

You will not need a license to own or operate these guns. However, you do need to be aware if there is a minimum age requirement in your country. There not be an age requirement to operate an airsoft gun, but there will probably be an age restriction when purchasing one.

If you own an airsoft gun in the United States know that you will have to paint the barrel of the gun orange. This will help law enforcement determine whether the gun is real or not. An average citizen probably will not know what the orange barrel means and can easily be mistaken for the real thing. So, when out in public it is best to have to in a case. For your child’s safety, you should always lock up these guns the same way you would if the gun is real.

The Airsoft guns are not known to be dangerous and deadly, they are more of a toy gun which still produces a scare to any robber or thief. The Airsoft gun has a BB that comes with a 6mm bullet which is made from a hard plastic so even when it is propelled with force it will not break a window or glass.

Many people want to own a firearm but the law prohibits them from doing so. With an Airsoft gun they can scare someone such as an intruder or robber with the flash or sight of the Airsoft gun yet it doesn’t have a full force shooting capacity in order to hurt someone.

Back in the 1970s, Japan first came out with the Airsoft gun. So many people wanted to own a firearm but it was against the law so a company by the name of Mauri invented the Airsoft gun that was portrayed as real but did not provide a deadly shot when fired. The first Airsoft gun came onto the market as a spring loaded weapon this was turned into a gas powered and a electric gun.
