Dirk Nowitzki Girlfriend Was A Sheep In A Disguise

Posted in Basketball on January 10th, 2011 by Londa Engelkemier – Be the first to comment

The press has had a field day with Dirk Nowitzki girlfriend news. Dirk is trying to keep quiet about the whole matter but the fact of the matter is no one else is feeding into his silence.

Apparently Dirk Nowitzki whom is a Dallas Mavericks star was actually dating a woman by the name of Cristal Taylor. Taylor is honestly nothing special; she is simply an ordinary woman that has been seen around the star from time to time.

Nowitzki was head over heels for 37 year old Taylor. He proposed to her with a $250, 000 ring. The couple was supposed to tie the knot in the near future. However it seems after the star had asked Taylor to marry him a lot of skeltons began to seep from the woman’s closet.

All of Dirk’s friends had persistently told him that before he made the relationship official with engaging in a marriage with Taylor he needed to do some investigating on the woman and dig into her past. Taylor never spoke of anything that she had done before meeting the star, so obviously this was a good move.

GT Bikes Value is in the Name

Posted in Sports on December 26th, 2010 by Mark Gildenburg – Be the first to comment

Not long ago there was “the bike scramble” an entertaining game where pedal cycle riders had the same enjoyment just like their motorbike colleagues.

In the very early times, people scrambled on specialised road bikes. Tons of wear and tear on the machine.

While the game grew it was necessary that there had to be change and thus the birth of BMX. BMX (Bicycle Motocross tenders the same thrills just like spills or the ‘engine’ kind. Naturally there had to be a bike fabricated to haul the substantial bits and pieces.

1979:, Gary Turner, a welding engineer, along with Richard Long, a bike garage owner, established a business, to be known as GT Bicycles, dived into making of BMX bicycles only. Everything happened because in the early 1970s, Gary’s son begun being mixed up in the comparatively new BMX race. Being an engineer, Gary had an appeal in the design and endurance of the structures and saw them weighty and as feeble. This encouraged him to design his son’s frames. He took his proficiency of the drag racing and reworked it to make the piping in the design of the BMX bikes. This was successful for the young Turner and a while later the BMX’s frames were being looked for and as a result, he began making the frames for other BMX cyclists.

1974:, Richard Long, who had the bicycle shop got interested in the acceptance of Gary’s frames he approached him with intent to being a retailer for his products. Hence in 79, they set up a connection mutually.

The Art And Science Of Surfing

Posted in Sports on December 20th, 2010 by Byron Jonas – Be the first to comment

Surfing is not like learning to ride a bicycle or drive a car. It is a combination of talent, practice and appreciation of the power of the waves, and also a science involving different components that need to be just right. Let’s take a look at what it takes to be a good surfer.

The first thing to know is that it needs above average swimming skills and a personality that enjoys being in the water. Before riding the waves, the surfer has to paddle out to sea, and has to know exactly how far out to go. Too near shore is no good, and going too far out will cause a lot of pain if the legrope breaks and it becomes necessary to swim back.

This leads to the need for having a strong physique, because surfing is a spot and needs strength and balance and co-ordination. Not to mention an insane amount of practice. This is why only those who really have a passion for it tend to be good surfers. If not, it becomes too much work.

There are also the scientific aspects to be studied and understood. The design for the surfboard is probably the most important of these elements, since it has to match the personal style and physique of the surfer. Depending on preferences, a surfboard needs to be a shortboard or longboard and can be made from different types of materials such as foam, epoxy and fiberglass. Everything from the length and width and float to the nose, tail and fins can and is usually customized.

Why WEC Should Join The UFC

Posted in Sports on October 4th, 2010 by Dave Parsons – Be the first to comment

With World Extreme Combat (WEC) 51 now in the books, the unavoidable discussion has come to light once more, will Zuffa make plans to combine the WEC and also the Ultimate fighting championship? Even though the WEC is profitable by itself, it’s facing the same concerns as not just the Ultimate fighting championship, but all of the secondary promotions in America. Market over saturation is an extremely genuine thing, and even though the sky is not about to fall, it’s hard to argue that too much of a good thing is a good thing at all. For every Ultimate fighting championship 116, we get a handful of UFC 119’s. Looking forward, we also see lots of the sports greatest names passing their primes, and there is more going out than you’ll find arriving recently. In my opinion, undeniably, that opening up the featherweight and bantamweight classes inside the UFC can aid the promotion in avoiding lack luster cards that send bloggers and journalists sounding alarms, but more to the point, lead to more money.

Do not get me wrong, the title of this post is not “Why Zuffa NEEDS to Merge the UFC and WEC”, I’m not of the perception that I’ve a fraction of the knowledge required to run a multi-million dollar company, but neither of those promotions needs one other. Yet, I do feel that all parties involved would be best served making this move, and us, the fans, will reap the huge benefits.

Following the jump, my three big motivators in making this theoretical move a real possibility.
